DCI is searching for a detailed Vice President, Transportation to be responsible ensuring compliance with transportation policies and procedures, as well as managing transportation budgets and expenses.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop KPI’s tracking of assets, driver utilization, on-time delivery, site capacity, and customer acceptance rating.
• Monitor operations to ensure compliance with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, and government regulations.
• Responsible for identifying cost/service impacts and providing recommendations to support business initiatives/goals.
• Manage the department quality management process, system documentation, and all internal approval processes.
• Manage a yearly business plan and monthly operation performance analysis (Sales/Loss and Profit)
• Standardize dispatch operations policies/procedures
• Prepare monthly business analysis reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• Minimum of 10+ years related transportation management experience, preferably in the liquid bulk intermodal industry.
• Strong understanding of FMCSA/DOT and various state regulatory rules
• Experience in managing multiple locations throughout North America
• Required travel, up to 50%
• 3PL management experience along with a strong procurement background in logistics
• Lean management experience preferred
