Safety Coordinator

Department: IBC Production
Location: Cleveland, OH

Quala is currently hiring a full-time Safety Coordinator. The Safety Coordinator is responsible for conducting safety meetings, audits, and inspections to evaluate compliance and performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up activity and assessments.

Position Responsibilities

  • Maintains detailed logs of Safety Equipment checks throughout facility
  • Arranges for repairs/service checks of any Safety Related Equipment/Tools
  • Plans, implements, and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs.
  • Learns, plans, implements, and maintains environmental safety & health programs on premises or at project site locations.
  • Provides leadership team with guidance on health and safety.
  • Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as primary contact for project site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management. Maintains a written log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.
  • Monitor that all work is performed in accordance with internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good manufacturing / service practices.
  • Proactively assists with other production activities as needed
  • Provides support as appropriate to team members and supervisors.
  • Participates in team meetings.

Education, Experience, and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Maintains good attendance
  • 2-4 years of relevant industry experience; large scale commercial, industrial project, oil, gas, or other related.
  • Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, OSHA, Construction Safety, and Industry Standards are a plus however not required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
  • Basic IT knowledge and troubleshooting

Starting Pay: $22 - $24 per hour dependent upon experience
